Dean Steffey

Dean Steffey graduated from Brigham Young University in 1975 and earned his law degree from South Texas College of Law in 1978. In 2000 Mr. Steffey began a structured settlement business, working solely on behalf of plaintiffs. He is a member of both the Texas and Arizona Bar Associations and the Arizona Association for Justice. He has served on the Board of Directors for the Arizona Association for Justice since 2010. He is a member of the AAJ Legislative Committee and served as the committee chairman since 2010. He has published several articles, the most recent appearing in the May 2020 issue of The Advocate, entitled “Our Legacy”.

Mr. Steffey also worked as an assistant high school varsity basketball coach from 1999-2016. He coached at two schools, Gilbert High School (1998-2006) and Corona del Sol High School (2007-2016). Gilbert won the 5A state championship in 2003, and Corona won four consecutive 5A state championships from 2012-15. Five of the players he coached were selected as Arizona Player of the Year and one, Marvin Bagley III, is a member of the Sacramento Kings in the NBA. Two other former players now play professionally in Europe. In 2013 Coach Steffey was selected as an Assistant Coach for the Arizona Basketball Coaches All-Star Game.
